Summer Quiz with BBQ

The sun on your face, the barbecue fired up, and coworkers who suddenly get super competitive over a few Flippo candies. Sounds like a great company outing.During the Summer Quiz with BBQ, you’ll take a trip down memory lane together to the days of Walkmans, camping vacations, cheesy commercials, summer hits, and stuff that nobody understands why we ever thought was so great. The good news: there’s no need to pitch a tent, and no one has to get in the car at 6 a.m. headed for the South of France. The teams will compete against each other in various quiz rounds. Think news trivia, famous commercials, music clips, the Wheel of Fortune, and, of course, a healthy dose of nostalgia. You’ll earn Flippos for correct answers. And don’t underestimate that. There are colleagues who normally barely respond to a Teams message, but for just one extra Flippo, they’ll suddenly start a full-blown legal battle over the validity of an answer.

Fortunately, there’s plenty of time in between to catch your breath at the barbecue. While the burgers sizzle on the grill and the satay slowly disappears, we’re already evaluating our tactics. Why did that one team know absolutely every commercial jingle? How can the youngest colleague recognize more ’90s hits than the one who already had a driver’s license back then? And why is the colleague who said beforehand, “I really don’t know anything about music,” suddenly the absolute star of the evening? Anyone who still has energy left after the quiz can extend the program with, for example, a drinks package or a Summer Afterparty. As soon as the first familiar hit starts playing, it quickly becomes clear who just came “for the fun of it” and who has secretly been waiting for years for an opportunity to show off their dance moves in public again.

An extra bonus: the quiz can be fully customized for your organization. With your own questions, photos, videos, old staff photos, and compelling company stories, the program becomes even more personalized. That one hairstyle from 2009? On the big screen. That legendary quote from a team-building day? Of course, it’s a quiz question. Chances are someone will say, “Does everyone really need to see that?” But there’s also a good chance we’ll show it anyway. A professional photographer can capture the day, so that even afterward there’s plenty of evidence of unexpected quiz talents, suspicious dance moves, and coworkers who took their Flippo collection just a little too seriously. The Summer Quiz with BBQ is perfect for a company outing, team-building event, or an elaborate bachelor/bachelorette party and can be organized at various locations in the Netherlands and Belgium.
